Well,
it's been a wild and crazy week. After exhausting tasks like power washing a
shop and cleaning carpets at a restaurant/bar over night, last Tuesday we had a
casting session. After a week of wangling that tuned out to be a total bust,
which was kind of depressing. But depression really can't stand against the
concentrated might of an enthusiastic optimist. After running some lines with
Erin (Annie Tunstill) we experimented with a scene from season 2. (I'll just
tease it for now by saying that she gets an epic pre-battle speech.) That was
fun, especially as a writer/director seeing the vision given life. Also it gave
her something to look forward to (insert evil laugh here.) ;-P On top of that,
she gave me leads on more potential actors and a possible source for more
horses!
It's hard casting people for such a long-term commitment, but those who agree
do so with enthusiasm and a passion for the story or role. I want to thank my
actors and stunt team behind their backs. Without their enthusiasm and support,
this would be impossible in more ways than one. :-)
Have a great week, see you next time!

The Brief
Well, short but important news, we had a read-through with
two more characters (Morrigan and Gwynmareth.) It went well, but due to special
circumstances the final casting decisions will be forthcoming.

Bits & Pieces
The script for season
two of Gatewalkers is definitely coming along & is promising to be epic.
Season one script is what you could call finished even though the “script” is
never really finished ‘til it is put before the public for their viewing pleasure.
We’ve filed our
company name with the Secretary of State & have been working out the other
legal requirements for setting up a business, fun stuff all around. :)
In case we missed mentioning this, two actors have been cast
for the roles of Erin & Kate. Annie Tunstill as Erin & Zoe Alley as
Kate. Congratulations to you both!
Thank you for reading & have a great week!
