Commencing Challenge

Greetings one and all! Well, things are finally kicking off for us. The swordplay class started yesterday. Though small, it's proving fruitful and proceeding quite well.

Also, I'm pleased to announce that we are now embarking on a project tentatively dubbed "The Chaos Crown." Hints about iterations of it have popped up over the last year or so, but as of now we are officially making it our mission. It's a new challenge, with many things we've never done before, but stretching ourselves is a must in this profession. More details will follow in the weeks and months ahead, as we figure out exactly how this script will become a reality.

Six Days

That's right, ladies and gentlemen, we're only six days away from the first Medieval Swordplay 101 class. Sunday most of the rest of our team caught up on what we'll be drilling, (well, the regulars, anyway,) and we're ready to commence on Tuesday the 27th.

But that doesn't mean that we're diverting from the rest of our work, oh no. Today, as you're reading this, we'll be in a script meeting, discussing the world design for our next project.

Well, that's our brief update. Much activity, but we're waiting for the storm to break.

Schema

Greetings one and all! This week has been a full one, though mostly on the less photo friendly sides of planning and development. The team is currently going over a marketing plan sent by one of our new contacts, and figuring out how to implement various aspects. Meanwhile, I'm also developing plots and characters for the new script. Taking my time, so as to avoid the classic problem of getting 30 pages in, and wondering why they're doing what they're doing.

Sunday was a smaller practice, where we finished teaching counters to lower strikes.

All in all, a quietly productive week.

Connections

Well, this week was kinda crazy, but also very good. Most of the things that happened are in an early stage, but I have high hopes for them. In short, advertising the swordplay class has the added perk of giving Brightsword Productions exposure as well. We've met some new people, and hopefully this will be the beginning of long and fruitful relationships.
In preparation for the class, the team met again to review the previous lessons, and made decent headway into the new material as well.

Despite the absence of some members, the advent of Summer means that it was still a full house.
One of our teammates has an article on us going live this week, so we're looking forward to that as well.
