'Twas a Moving Experience

Hello, everyone! This is just a quick update to say that my family and I are moving! As a result, there won't be a blog post next week, but the week after we should have news of the results of our next casting session and the week after that, hopefully a music update for Othersight. Thanks to everyone, and have a great week!

Many Meetings

Here it is! At long last, the best friends have finally met for the first time. :-) We met at the local community college and I gave them their scripts, all 118 pages and 126 scenes worth. This led to a long and animated discussion on the characters and world. After an hour we dove into the script and started reading the parts. After another hour and a half we had covered a third of the script and they were both quite excited about their parts. To say they were having fun would be an understatement. "Oh, we get to fight now! Yes!" "Oh! I love this line!" Etc. etc.

A good time had all around.

In other news, our villain is no longer available, so we're back to hunting again. On the plus side, we may have a couple leads for Gwynmareth, the elven princess. We are also in talks with a costumer who's very active on the CF.org boards. She has expressed interest in the project, but we still have to work out all the details. Not the least of which being that we have seven distinct races we must develop. :-)

Thanks for reading. Until next time. :-)

Mwahaha!

We have just a really quick update for the progress on Gatewalkers.
We had two auditions this week. One was for our villain (hence the title) and the other for our male lead. The first one went well and, barring any unforeseen circumstances, we now have our lead villain cast! The second audition also went well but we decided that the actor wasn’t quite what we were looking for to fill the part. However, they both were great and we want to say thank you again to them. :)

Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Hurry Up And...

If you know Army procedure, you know where the title was going. That's been my week. Until now. Within the last hour we went from a holding pattern to full-on action. Two people are coming in to try out for roles, one of which is a bit challenging for me, as the character doesn't talk in the first season, but will in the others. Finding the balance of scenes from season 1 and the unfinished season 2 will be interesting. Oh yes, and our villain. :-) That will be fun. With such a broad range of expression, deciding on the right scenes will be a challenge. Ah, but it certainly beats a week of Hurry Up And Wait.
