Now Boarding

Okay, so that was a really bad pun for the week. First off, swordplay classes went fairly well. The last two sessions focused on dagger plays, and dueling.

Next up, the art department started working on a model to use in the teaser shoot. (Or, it will be, if all goes as planned...) Also, the stunt team began preparing the choreography for the teaser, which proceeded fairly quickly, with some solid and characterful moves.

 

What's more, we also have a composer who is interested in working with us. We're looking forward to meeting her soon, and will keep you updated as things develop.

Last but not least, we're also getting storyboard pages printed out, so that we can begin the planning of the feature shoot in earnest. Funny as it might sound, I'm actually really excited about that, as it's the first moment where the movie goes from just words to images as well.

Spears and Schemes

Greetings one and all! This week saw progress on several fronts. First, the layout of our promo teaser is getting locked down. Second, while we had no official meet on Sunday, the team has begun sending out feelers for casting and acquiring the other resources we'll need for this project. Art department designs are coming along well. Third, the class has reached the two-thirds mark, with the lesson on line battles.

The day featured group maneuvering,with both the spear, and sword and shield.

Pre-production Begins

Greetings one and all! Well, this week has been varied. Of course, the swordplay class has continued, and we've just completed basic longsword plays.
Sunday, the team met for a hybrid session. First, we brainstormed the specific shots and lines needed for a mock trailer. Afterward, the stunties went out to loosen up with some good old fashioned sparring, whilst the art department went over what would be required for the project.

All in all, a quite productive time.

Here Again at Last

That's right, ladies and gentlemen. The Chaos Crown script has been finalized, and Sunday saw our first production meeting. I think I can safely say we're all very happy to be about our business again, after so long.

Some debate is to be had as to whether that's the final title, but we'll keep you updated.
Discussion highlighted many potential avenues to pursue, along with potential new team members. It also focused my script breakdowns, so we'll know what we'll need, and when. I am strangely happy to be doing very boring work again.
