Approaches and Automatons

 Greetings, one and all! Welcome to this week in brief. First off, this week finally allowed us to do what we couldn't last week, so we choreographed a fight versus automatons that happens somewhere mid-script. Not our usual fare, but it's still important to get the pacing right.

After that, the team jumped into some group battles, and they're showing noticeable improvement in both group and individual tactics.

What's more, within an hour of this going live on social media, I will be in our first major meeting of this presentation push. Or I should be. With family members getting sick left and right, I just pray I stay healthy long enough to get this done.

Page Revisions and Room Invasions

 Greetings, one and all! So this week has been an interesting one, in which much happens, and not a lot, all at once. We've done a revision on the secret pitch page, and scheduled our first meeting related to said pitch.
On top of that, we've been working on designing flanges for a mace head, trying to figure out proper size and proportions, because there's no way I'm giving any actors a real mace. Sorry, guys.

In other news, suddenly reduced stunt team attendance on Sunday meant that the original plans went out the window, and we diverted into choreography practice, and the fun-filled world of competitive assassination.

This time around, they had the opportunity to be somewhat more acrobatic and flourishy than normal, and put it to full use.

Real Steel

 Greetings, one and all! Well, this week has been... eventful. The long and the short of one part is that, after some hiccups, the first batch of presentation propositions have been sent out, and the first meeting has been scheduled. On top of that, the first episode of the STORMBORN Behind the Scenes series has been released! The first episode can be found here:

In other news, we did something with the stunt team that we haven't done since 2013. We broke out the live steel stunt weapons, so everyone could get a feel for them, and learn how they act differently from the sparring weapons.

It's crazy to think it's been that long since the last time we used these...

Sites and Stabbing

 Greetings, one and all! This week saw the full spread of prep work. First off, the team met Sunday and continued tearing down pallets for storage. It was a smaller group this week, so after work things moved into some light sparring, and a bit of a ring toss/precision stabbing exercise.

In further news, the top secret landing page for our presentation has been completed! It integrates both video presentations, tied together with what basically amounts to "the ask," in sales terms. The first video is why we do what we do, the text is how we plan to go about it, and the final video is the team sharing what Brightsword Productions is like, and what it means to them.

 Early observations indicate I may need to find a way to ensure that people actually watch the videos, instead of just reading the text with no context, but that's a job for after I finish writing this blog post.
