Greetings, one and all! So, as many of you know, I’ve spent
many months working on a pitch of sorts, to sell what we do as a team to other
groups and individuals who may want to get behind us. Then the coronavirus hit,
and my work turned to just not going insane. Now that we’re slowly emerging
from lockdown, and the world has changed, I’ve been revisiting that pitch to
see what modifications need to be made. The first thing that struck me is this:
A verbal pitch on the power of film is a bit… ironic, at best. So now my
efforts have shifted to turning that original pitch into a much more
streamlined video. To that end, I have been hunting down video assets, reading
articles and essays for supporting quotes, and surprising my stunt team with an
unexpected interview.
This slows the process a bit, but I think the end result will be stronger. Stormborn showed us the limits of our organic reach, and even to a certain extent the limits of advertisement, so our next step is to reach out and grow this team, and with that, our reach.
Speaking of the team, after the aforementioned interview, we transitioned into a bit of an “important life lessons for melee combatants,” and gave some pointers for how to stand from the prone position while under duress. Then Zach added a few throws to the mix.
So the week took a different turn from what I’d expected, but I think it was a turn for the better.
Well, that’s about all for this week. Until next time!
