Patterns, Plates, and Promos

Greetings, one and all! As per normal, this week was a smattering of various projects. First off, the stunt team is back, being highly demonstrative for the graduation party next door.

Next up, we’ve been working on a lot of patterns and pattern tests, particularly for the gauntlets. Below you can see a stack of scales, or “lames,” that have been cut out for the fingers of the gauntlet. On top of that, we’ve also started designing a new blade…

The blades we’d previously cut and shaped have now been polished to a silky smoothness, however the ongoing rain isn’t the best for painting, so for now they remain in their smudged off-white state.
That new blade we’d mentioned earlier? That comes from the other piece of news, specifically the fact that we spent several days this week working on promo short material for our hoped-for upcoming project. We’re still in the middle of working through iterations of those, which is difficult, because it’s hard to strike just the right tone in a short for a project as unique as this.

Well, that’s about all for this week. Until next time!
