Greetings, one and all! This week has centered
around a lot of the pitch-related work, connecting with the leadership of
different groups, making plans, etc. It’s really exhausting to realize how much
work I’ve put in to get this far with this few, and how many more I still have
to go…
Anyway, beyond that there has been more writing work, research, and, funny
enough, a party.
With our December looking to be more chaotic than most, we decided to have the annual Christmas party in mid-November. There was the usual food and games, and their characters actually ended up in a much better situation than they did at the end of the last party, so things are certainly looking up for them.
On a more cerebral note, the process of the week has led to long contemplations on the themes of transcendent longing, and the loss thereof. Brotherhood, and who we ought to be. As a writer, we do our best work when we’re bleeding on the page, as it were, so these contemplations may, in time, fold themselves into the writing process. The above may seem like a bit of a non sequitur, but this is a blog about the process of making movies, and these things can be a bit… non-linear.
Well, that’s about all for this week. Until next time!
