Arms, Armor, and Arm Armor

Greetings, one and all! After last week, I had been optimistic that progress would move more quickly once the complex curves of the pauldrons were behind us. However, attempts to make a fully enclosed vambrace did not work as hoped. Since that was the foundation of the next elements, the process slowed again. That said, despite those difficulties we did finish the pauldrons, including the attaching straps. On top of that, we shaped the wood scales for the stunt kindjal’s hilts to reflect the angle and thickness of the original.

Finally, the stunt team met for an exercise with sword and shield. I say “exercise,” because it did wear them out faster than most things we’ve been doing since the hiatus.

So a modestly productive week, all in all.

Well, that’s about all for this week. Until next time!
