Test View

This week we dug up the rough edit of Chaos and previewed it for the cast and crew. The good thing about having critics built into your crew is it makes for a short turnaround on revisions. Fortunately, the few revisions aside, the edit was enthusiastically received, and that has re-energized me to find ways to see it finished.
Sunday, Becca dropped by and we finished some ADR for the project, then dashed off to surprise another crew member for his 20th.

I also discovered a workaround for one of the After Effects hiccups, so I was finally able to complete the backdrop for one of the scenes.
Well, that's about all for this week. Until next time!

A Smattering of Stuff

As the title suggests, this week was a bit of everything. We experimented with rendering resolutions for the HD footage, seeing what kind of quality we could get for a reasonably tidy package. A quick jump back to "Othersight" to test some new animation, and fix the color issues with it, then back around to working on the LCC fight choreography.

We have most of it blocked out now, though a test shoot will be needed to see if everything comes together as it should. I've also been gearing up for a wedding gig, plus the cast and crew are arranging a little get-together, so that's rounded out the flurry of activity for this week.

Well, that's about all for this week. Until next time!

Back On Our Feet

Well, that was an experience. Shortly after last week's post, most of us were knocked off our feet by the bug that's been going around. Sadly this brings the total days of productivity for this last week up to 2.

What did we do? Finalize some audio adjustments, design the credits sequence, and run some test renders. (With 3 hour render times, not really surprising that it was only "some", now that I think about it.) So not much got done, thanks to the illnesses, but here's to a brighter week this time around.

Until next time!

Cleanup Complete!

After wrestling with the connection point between episodes 12 and 13 for the better part of a week, the slightly unusual use of a deleted scene turned out to provide the best blend. With that, the cleanup and revision was officially completed.  Next up, constructing the credits sequence.

Now, for your viewing pleasure, we will give you a teaser of one of the deleted scenes:

Well, that about sums it up for a rather quiet, yet productive week. Until next time!
