A New Phase: Agility Training

The title about sums it up. This week we started on a new phase of stunt training, using somewhat odd-looking exercises to work toward a stronger, more agile and graceful stunt team.

...Okay, maybe not so much quite yet. Still, we soldier on. Adjustments will be made, so we don't wipe out our stunties in the first twenty minutes.
Script work also continues apace with one script being sent in for final reviews, and another couple in the planning stages. We shall see how that goes.

Story Meet

Greetings one and all! This week was a little different for us. Not satisfied with aspects of my writing, the stunt team and a special guest got together and improv'd their way through the scenario. A good time was had by all, though several of us were only barely conscious the next day...

I'll be reviewing the footage, and see what it says about the project at hand.

Returning to Form

Well, the tournament is over and done, so now our attentions return to the core of our discipline: Choreography. This week we took time to shake out some unused skills, and get ourselves back in form.

On the production side, fundraising plans are being laid out, Script 1 is hopefully one step from the copy edit, and a meeting is slated for Monday to work through some ideas for Script 2. In other words, a slow week. ;-)

Tournament Day

Greetings one and all! Well, it's been a couple days since the big day, and I think I'm almost awake again. After a bit of a slow start, which is to be expected when trying something new, the tournament took off and we raced through the six hours at blinding speed. From scenarios to grand melees, from duels to pitched battles, the group threw themselves into it all head first. Oh, the stories they had at the end...

 

With that behind us, our focus can now turn to what's ahead for the group. Fundraising is a point of particular focus, and as such, I am working on pitches and spiels for the different situations we may find ourselves in. Scriptwriting is also proceeding well. With one almost polished, and another in development, we may well have choices when the time comes to announce our next project.

Circle of Blades

So here we are, less than a week until the tournament. I finally have the near-complete list of scenarios, and we even ran through a couple on Sunday to test their viability.

   

Our current script is undergoing final refinements, and other ideas are in development as well. Time will tell which of these becomes our next great quest.
