The Layers of Development

Greetings, one and all! This week was a broad selection of events. First off, Wednesday saw another reading, followed by an extensive costuming session, outlining the looks for various characters and planets. Friday saw a brief meeting about taking the first steps toward creating another product that could help monetize our IP.

Saturday, we met again to further progress the props and armor creation.

From shaping foam, to collecting parts, it was a full day.

Monday and Tuesday saw the experiments with the safety blade paint hit its first snag. Metallics tend to smudge, even when flexible and "dry," so a clear rubber coating material is now on order. In the meantime, we'll be working on all the other things that need to be done. Lastly, a brief scene rewrite has streamlined some of the early script necessities, which has taken a load off of our 2nd AD and costuming department, on top of being a better hook, so a good week all around.

Well, that's about all for this week. Until next time!
