First Generation Meets the Fourth

Greetings, one and all!  This week was a hum of activity, with Sunday certainly being a highlight.
First off, the newest version of the script is finally out for review, with the first overview receiving positive feedback, and the technical one still pending. Secondly, a new video is up, highlighting the antics behind the scenes of the "RIFT" shoot. The link can be found here:

Thirdly, we have been invited to set up a booth at a local homeschooling conference, so we're pulling things together for that. Fourth, Sunday itself was quite interesting, as two of our first generation stunties returned to assist in training our fourth generation in the fine art of hitting things.

It was also one of our largest training sessions, with fifteen people operating in various capacities.
Last, but not least, today we will be meeting with a new friend and associate of the team, to discuss the marketing and outreach side of our work. Not my shtick, but that's why I'm bringing two people who are far more adept than I.

Well, that's about all for now. Until next time!

The Cycle Begins Anew...

Well, ladies and gentlemen, here we are. The classic beginning of a new project: breaking in a whole new generation of stunties.

Day one was, of course, falling and rolling. Also known as, the fine art of not dying. All in all, the new members did well, and some showed a surprising natural aptitude.

The script is currently into a rewrite of the rewrite, but I think this new version will provide a lot more punch. I may well send two different versions to the reviewers, to get their opinion on the diverging styles.

Well, that's about all for now. Until next time! Have a happy Thanksgiving!

To a New Era

Greetings, one and all! This week has been a broad spread of events, from marketing to minions. First off, we released our humor pitch last week to YouTube, have spent the week updating aspects of the online presence, and by the time you're reading this, will probably be neck deep in yet another strategy session. Not really my field, but fortunately I have help.

In other news, we've invited some new people to try out for the stunt team next weekend, so we went over what we'll be teaching them. Oh, and we helped one of the team members shoot something for a school assignment...

Another script review has led to some heavy eleventh hour revisions, which I hope will make the overall product stronger. Time will tell.

Well, that's about all for this week. Until next time!

Year Two Completed!

Greetings, one and all! We're back from the Downtown Trick or Treat, and, well... we're alive. That's always a good start. Thankfully, our experience from last year allowed us to fine tune the process, so we had a fairly smooth flow of kids and their parents through the shop, actually handing out candy to more in less time. However, some families started about 45 minutes early, so it was a scramble to put the finishing touches on the scene. Fortunately, we'd anticipated they would start a half hour early, so we were mostly ready, anyway.
By the actual start time, the crowds were already thick on the sidewalk, and in the store.

It was different for me, personally, because I was acting full time, instead of being one of the ushers.
The event went well, and even cleanup went surprisingly smoothly. The day wrapped, and we all went home to crash. Now, we rise early to write this blog, and bring you the first pictures from the event. Hope you enjoyed!

Until next time!
