Preparing for the Clash

Seems like Summer just started, but we're already only a few weeks out from the August tournament. Crazy.
With that ahead of us, the stunt team has been spending more time in free-form combat and dueling exercises, pushing their understanding of the art from ideals and forms into the more practical aspects.

On top of that, we are also starting to bring the pieces together to build our next project, but more details on that as they take shape. I'm looking forward to the days ahead...

Well, that's about all for this week. Until next time!

*Crickets*

So... this is different. Usually there's something to say on a Wednesday, even if it's pretty mundane. But this week the stunt team took Sunday off for Father's Day, and the only other news we have cannot be announced quite yet. So... yeah. Quiet week.

Ah well... See y'all next time!

Archery and Adventuring

Greetings, one and all! This week was a bit of a switch-up. On Sunday, the team got to practice archery, which is a decided change of pace from what we've been doing lately.

Tuesday, several of us went on a bit of an exploratory mission, looking for interesting places that could be used for shoots. About four hours of hiking netted us a handful of such places.

Well, that's about all for this week. Until next time!

Milestone

Greetings one and all! This week has been one of many changes and events, but for all of that, there are only a couple pieces of project news.

First, the team met, as per usual, to advance their understanding of storming and rescue procedures. I had to fill in for one of the team-members in the last iteration, which was fun.

Secondly, Monday marked the tenth anniversary of the beginning of filming for our very first project ever, dubbed "Black Falcon: Liberator."

With the anniversary and the passing of David, this has been a week of reflection. It's been a wild ride, and we've grown a lot through it. Only time will tell what may come of it, and some things we may never know until eternity.

Well, on that contemplative note, I will bid you all adieu. Have a good week, and we'll see you all next time!

Passing Honors

So, this has been a bit of a whiplash week.

After the general scurry and business of the week, two of our veterans joined the training Sunday to teach the new generation the proper use of firearms... and storming buildings.

They were methodical, and good progress was made. Finalization is slated for next week.

That night, the bomb dropped. A longtime friend, David Hamilton, (composer for both "Othersight" and "Gatewalkers,") had passed away. Out of respect for his family, and the magnitude of their loss, I won't say any more, save this:

Farewell, my friend. The war won't be the same without you.
