Stormborn Part Five

Greetings, one and all! Well, the winter plague has struck the valley, which makes this a considerably quieter week. There was no stunt meet, but there was more work on marketing, pitches, and the like. On top of that, a fresh iteration of a script has been sent to the reviewers for analysis.

Also, we have preparing for a number of non-filmmaking events in the next few weeks and months. So, despite the lack of pictures, we have been keeping ourselves quite busy.

Stormborn Half Way

Greetings, one and all! Another week, and the internet issues are still unresolved. Despite that, we have managed to get a fair amount done. We’ve staged the social media releases of the next few episodes, as well as worked on the various promotion angles. On top of that, there’s also been some script work humming along in the background.

Sunday, the team met and worked on developing the speed and accuracy aspects of their choreography, refining the almost conversational aspect of a fight scene. The back and forth, give and take of the action.

So, here we are, half way through the release of a series that was written in late 2017. It’s crazy to think how much has happened since then, how much we’ve learned and grown through the process. We’re all looking forward to seeing what this next year brings.

The Arrival of Episode 3

Greetings, one and all! Shortly after publishing the last episode, our router has taken to dropping the internet connection from certain devices, including the laptop used to post said episodes, and often refusing to reconnect. So, things like this blog, and the general episode release, are done between abrupt connection losses and connection errors. And here we thought the upload process was going to be boring…

In further news, this Sunday the stunt team engaged in a somewhat more unorthodox exercise. In order to know how tall set pieces would need to be in various situations, we set the camera up, and recorded the various heights of stunties passing at predetermined distances from a board marked at the most common lumber lengths. From that, we should be able to determine the minimum height for each set piece, based on the size of the location.
Then, after that slightly dry and off-beat experiment, we set them loose on a speed and precision drill with the dagger.

On top of all that, we have been engaging in some script revision, attempting to strengthen the main theme in one of our projects. So that’s been a fun and rewarding process.
All in all, it’s been a productive week, whenever the internet connection has allowed, and we are excited to be nearing the half-way mark on the series.
