So... directly
after the last blog post, we went into building the DVD of
"Gatewalkers"... whereupon the project promptly got corrupted and
crashed. However, whilst trying to fix that problem, I had a bit of
inspiration regarding what was wrong with the re-deleted deleted scene,
and how to go about fixing it. The solution was not without its own
setbacks, but the end result is that the scene has been reintroduced,
and yesterday we printed the first test copy of the DVD.
The Thursday
costuming run was fairly successful, netting us several random pieces,
as well as a few elements that can be turned into props for future
projects. The biggest victory for me personally was finding a metal tube
that neatly fit over David's current lightsaber blade, allowing for a
long, shining light-halberd.
Sunday
the team drilled again, and this time they surprised me with a
costuming piece that will be very useful for this and future projects.
