Drawing Together the Hills and Towers

Greetings one and all! When last we left you, we were attempting to set up the daylight green screen shots. We successfully completed them, just before the thunderstorms hit, eliminating the concept of “daylight” for a while. Those shots completed, we started to composite together the atmospheric, hill, tower, and, in certain cases, live action takes to create the final scene. This also featured some elements of animation for the night scene.

Sunday saw a giant swordplay refresher course, followed by a couple exercise games.

As we returned to the work week, we re-synced some audio, before working on keying out a character for a major effects shot that will take place in the final action sequence.
You know how I said the crystal tower was ready to be painted? Yeah… Well, I was a bit unsatisfied with the look, and so decided to cut out vanes to be attached next to the struts.

All in all, I think that's a better look for the university planet.

Well, that’s about all for this week. Until next time!
