Greetings, one and all! Well, this week has been a good mix
of progress. A string of rejections were quickly followed by a half dozen
people confirming interest in trying out for the upcoming project. Hopefully we’ll
be able to get those readings in before the new year.
On top of just trying to find people, the rest of the week has been filled in
with more readings, and continuing work on the props.
With supply chain issues thanks to the lockdowns this year, certain materials
have become scarcer, so we’re looking into alternative solutions. Stunt weapons
must meet very precise requirements, so finding comparable materials with
widely different compositions is challenging. That said, much like I never
thought I would pay so much attention to people’s ears before Gatewalkers, I
never thought I would pay so much attention to what plastics melt, become
fibrous, or just flake under friction…
Next up, the stunt team met before the Christmas break to try out a new fall.
It’s been a while, so everyone was pretty sore by the end, and one particular member was planning exercises for over the break so they’d be ready for next time… Next time being in three weeks, when we bring on a new batch of stunties.
