The Edit Begins

Greetings, one and all! This week in filmmaking, we’re finally into the edit!

We're currently about eight minutes in, and have begun the sound sync. The solution to our tech problem seems to be a Byzantine hybridization between old and new tech, which should be interesting to see, in execution. After resolving that, we've run into rather unexpected audio issues, but that pretty much sums up filmmaking, resolving a series of problems while running at top speed. Just your average Tuesday, really.

As a random note, while writing this, I noticed that last week was our 500^th blog post for Brightsword Productions. Yup, five hundred weeks of weekly updates. It’s been many things over the years, an update for the audience and team, an archive to preserve what we did and when, a resume for people looking us up, and a discipline that ensures we’ll always be making progress, because I’ll be reporting to you on Wednesday every week. A crazy kind of milestone, to be sure.
